Description
Keep your START/STOP battery in peak condition
Fast Start/Stop charging
The CT5 START/STOP battery charger and maintainer has been specially designed to charge and maintain batteries in Start/Stop vehicles.
Start/Stop technology is great for the environment but it can put a considerable strain on your battery, especially if it’s in an older car. By keeping the battery fully charged, you can take full advantage of all the Start/Stop technology benefits, such as better fuel efficiency and lower CO2 emissions. If you only make short journeys, use the CT5 START/STOP once a month to keep your battery in peak condition. And if you’re going away on holiday, just connect the charger to the battery to make sure your car’s ready to go when you return.
FAQ
I have an AGM battery but my car doesn’t have a start-stop system. Can I still charge the battery with a START/STOP charger? ×
Yes, you can.
Is the START/STOP a simpler charger than the MXS 5.0? It has only three lights while the MXS 5.0 has eight. ×
No. On the MXS 5.0 a light shows for every step, and the voltage and power curve is shown above and below the lights. On the START/STOP we’ve chosen to reduce the number of lights and instead just show which phase the charger is currently in – Check, Charge or Care. START/STOP has no programme selection. Instead, when it is in contact with a battery it starts as soon as it’s plugged into a wall socket.
Can I charge my battery through the cigarette lighter socket? ×
If your cigarette lighter socket is connected to the battery even when the ignition isn’t on, you can charge the battery that way. You need a CONNECT Cig plug or a INDICATOR Cig plug for this.
How many amps does START/STOP provide? ×
It provides a maximum of 3.8 A and varies according to the needs of the battery.
